Colorado Travel Plans was started by Mary Owen and Richard Sonnen as a way to share their travel experiences and love of Colorado with a larger audience.

Mary is a professional corporate event planner working all over the world. Richard is a managing software engineer specializing in Internet technologies. Both are Colorado natives that travel extensively in and out of the state.

Both Mary and Richard have amassed a extensive knowledge of the state's history, ecology, and geology over their seventy years of combined travels.

After many years of informally planning trips for friends and family, Mary and Richard decided to formalize their most popular trips into travel plans for the public.
